WEBNov 8, 2022 · Is it comparable to using Obsidian on a laptop? I'm thinking of getting a Windows Surface Pro 8 or 9, but I'd be using Obsidian with it a lot and I'm wondering how compatible it is with this kind of device.
Drawing/Sketching support for users who use styluses/tablets
WEBJul 11, 2020 · I find it quite simple to import the handwritten or drawn files into Obsidian using attachment folders and this works quite straightforwardly. I’m very unconvinced that a separate Obsidian feature would significantly enhance this workflow, but I’m sure it would absorb a lot of development effort.

WEBSep 9, 2022 · I just recently got a Surface Pro 8 and really enjoy the new Surface pen. I am pretty new to Obsidian and have not establsibed a flow yet for pdfs. But, I do know the pen works well generally for annotating and taking notes elsewhere.
Can someone share their experience using Obsidian on Surface Pro?
WEBOct 23, 2022 · I use Obsidian on a Surface Pro 8 with a USB-C dock connected to a large monitor. It is no different than using Obsidian on any other PC. Are you asking about the Surface Pro X / Arm Pro 9?

Feature request on supporting Surface with a stylus pen
WEBMay 10, 2021 · Unfortunately, this still does not work - the panes cannot be resized via pen or touchscreen. It still works only via mouse or touchpad. Tested with Surface 8 Pro on Windows 11. This is a bit annoying since otherwise, Obsidian can be operated quite well with the pen (as far as I see).
