Your elephant encounter begins in the Interpretation Centre where you are introduced to our elephants through beautiful photographic and informative displays. Our facilities are world class and our style of management ensures that our elephants interact with guests on their own terms within this controlled, free-range environment. Visitors to the park are privileged to have a personal encounter with our gentle giants, and leave having gained a new-found respect for these animals, as well as a better understanding of the African elephant and its plight across the continent. Most importantly, by visiting the Park and experiencing our elephant herd, guests make a direct contribution to elephant husbandry and care.

Yes, I think you can just show up to do the elephant walk but it would be a good idea to call ahead and make sure. They have a breakfast walk and a late afternoon walk. The guides are fantastic (especially Zenzo) and you will learn a lot from them. You can also just go and visit the elephants and feed them treats. It will be a highlight of your trip- well worth the stop! There is a cafe with good breakfast and lunch on site. You can even have a “sleepover” with the elephants in their nicely appointed lodge!!
Hello, we will be visiting with our 8 and 5 year old children. We can't decide whether we should do the walk wih the elephants with breakfast or whether the "standard" visit and oppertunity to feed them is enough for the kids? Thank you for any advice.

The walk with the elephants is one of the most memorable experiences of my time in South Africa. It is awesome to see these gentle giants so close up I wouldn't miss it for anything. It still makes me smile now when I think back to that visit.
Can you book an elephant walk without being a resident at hotel? online would be helpful if possible. thank you
