Lewis & Clark State Memorial Park is now called Lewis & Clark State Historic Site. Run by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, this Interpretive Center shares the story of the Lewis & Clark Expedition in Illinois as they prepared for their journey. The Interpretive Center features a replica of the largest boat of the Expedition and details camp life for soldiers at their winter encampment of Camp River Dubois. The site features a replica of Camp River Dubois and a confluence viewing area of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers.
