The Visitor Centre is the best place to start any visit to Lulworth. Whether you need the tide times or a geological map, drop in for helpful visitor information and guides to the local area. The Visitor Centre is free of charge and opens every day from 10am-5pm (4pm in winter). It is closed on Christmas Day. Look at the displays in the Visitor Centre which tell the story of Lulworth from 150 million years ago, as the first rocks formed, to the landscape and village you see today. Animations show how the coast formed and two short films explain this World Heritage Site and how it looks in stormy weather. Education groups and small groups can make use of the Visitor Centre or book a field session with the Lulworth Rangers.
