I believe you can park right in the center of town or by the train station metered. Either way old town isn’t that big and what Ruth a little walk to see everything:)

I think that the easiest way is by train from Basel bahnhof. it will take about 45 minutes. You will need a tarin toward Strasbourg

It's not far from Colmar train station to the centre. We walked with our luggage to Grand'Rue and it was no problem at all.
