It is way too big to see in an afternoon or even a day…. Try going to the met “cloisters” which is a quick subway ride away. It blew us away and is no where near as touristy…. Full review by Jeff D

Not with current card system. If you are a member, you need to renew every year. An old badge will not work there. I would call the museum directly on this.
