PATNA: The agitation to re-conduct Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 70th combined (preliminary) competitive examination has gained momentum with students, political parties and students' organisations joining hands to extend their support to the examinees.

MP Pappu Yadav and his supporters on Friday showed solidarity to the ongoing BPSC protests in various regions of Bihar. Yadav's men held a rail blockade at a station here to press their demand.

Over five lakh candidates took the Combined Competitive Exams on December 13, but allegations of a question paper leak led to protests in Patna. While fresh exams for 10,000 candidates were scheduled,

Kishore initiated an indefinite hunger strike in Patna, demanding the cancellation of the BPSC exam amid allegations of a paper leak. He criticized CM Nitish Kumar for ignoring student protests and vowed to continue until their demands are met.

Hundreds of candidates at Bapu Pariksha Parisar centre boycotted the test, alleging that the question paper was leaked.

Supporters of independent MP Pappu Yadav staged a rail blockade on Friday to demand the cancellation of the BPSC 70th CCE Exam.

Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor expressed support for students protesting at Gandhi Maidan against the alleged BPSC paper leak.

Kishor made the announcement at the historic Gandhi Maidan in the state capital, three days after giving a "48-hour ultimatum" to the Nitish Kumar government for acting on the demand, raised by aggrieved candidates.
