A new Peacock mini-series dramatizes a father’s obsessive investigation into Britain’s worst terrorist attack: the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.

Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth says he felt an incredible sense of responsibility after meeting the real-life hero he was to play in Peacock's limited series, "Lockerbie: A Search for Truth."

The father of a Lockerbie bombing victim has said he is delighted by Colin Firth's portrayal of him in a new TV drama. Dr Jim Swire has campaigned for justice since his daughter, Flora, was killed in the 1988 bombing which claimed the lives of 270 people.

“Lockerbie: A Search for Truth,” streaming Jan. 2 on Peacock, examines the multiple cover-ups and investigations in that disaster’s wake. Much of it led by Colin Firth’s Dr. Jim Swire whose daughter Flora was among those murdered. He was elected to speak for the families of the UK victims.

The first of this year's two miniseries about the 1988 Lockerbie bombing focuses on a father's grief-fueled investigation.
