After much speculation reverberating across the internet earlier this year regarding Dodge potentially discontinuing its Durango Hellcat model after 2024, the automaker surprised us yet again by extending its Hellcat offering by one more year.

The Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was supposed to be a one-year-only special edition in 2021. Here we are heading into model year 2025 and not only is the Durango Hellcat still standing, it's the only Hellcat left.

As the current generation of Dodge Durango, and particularly its high-output V8 engines, approaches the end (a seeming theme as of late), Dodge has another special edition for fans to snag. This one is the 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead,

The Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead is a limited production special edition celebrating 20 years of HEMI-powered Durangos. It features unique exterior and interior appointments, including a bespoke Hammerhead Grey interior theme.

It's not the biggest thing to lap Germany's famed Nürburgring, but this Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat might be close to it. That makes the lap with 'Ring expert Misha Charoudin even more impressive, as he shows off how quick this family hauler can be.

As far as farewell parties go, Dodge has pulled out an absolute showstopper. The 2025 Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead is a farewell tribute to the iconic HEMI engine. And boy, does it go out with a bang!
