Construction of the new $122 million span across the Loxahatchee River took 21 months and caused traffic detours near Jupiter's beachfront.

On Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Highway 1 bridge in Jupiter reopened after safety inspections. It has one lane open in each direction as of now.
