Apple's largest iPhone producer has reportedly ordered hundreds of its India-based Chinese workers to return to their native China but for unspecified reasons.

Foxconn Technology Group has asked hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians to return home from its iPhone factories in India, dealing a blow to Apple Inc.’s manufacturing push in the South Asian country.

Foxconn has sent back over 300 Chinese engineers and technicians from its Indian operations. The Indian government, while monitoring the situation, has said that companies are free to engage talent from any country.
