The mountain lion that showed up in the backyard of a Frisco, Texas, resident has taken the internet by storm.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department confirms a mountain lion was spotted in Frisco, near Lake Lewisville. The lion was recorded on security camera footage and reported to the state parks department on Nov. 4.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) confirmed security footage of a mountain lion in west Frisco, near Lake Lewisville, according to the Frisco Police Department.

The wildlife dept. said it is actively monitoring the area and residents have been requested to report any additional mountain lion sightings and encounters to local authorities or to TPWD Urban Wildlife Biologist,
