ATLANTA – Clang. Clang. Clang, clang, clang. One after another, Michigan State basketball missed outside shots. The dearth of 3-point shooting proved too costly to overcome, even though the Spartans fought and scrapped all Tuesday night against No. 1 Kansas.

Michigan State did not enter the season inside the AP Top 25 but both Sparty and KU enter the evening with a 2-0 record having won two games on their respective home courts. The neutral site should be a nice change of scenery and serve as another measuring stick for Kansas as well as unranked -- and perhaps underrated -- Michigan State.
