The upcoming closures of Nordstrom department stores at two Massachusetts malls will result in 300 workers losing their jobs.

The store in Peabody’s Northshore Mall will close on January 31 and the store in Braintree’s South Shore Plaza will close on March 8.

Department store chain Nordstrom may lay off hundreds of workers, as it plans to close two of its stores in Massachusetts.Nordstrom notified the state it will lay off 134 workers from its Northshore Mall location in Peabody and 166 from the South Shore Plaza location in Braintree.
