The Houston Astros are in agreement with infielder Brendan Rodgers on a minor-league deal with an invitation to major-league spring training, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed Tuesday night.

The Astros added another player to their infield mix on Tuesday, agreeing to a Minor League deal with veteran second baseman Brendan Rodgers with an invitation to Spring Training, a source told MLB.com.

The New York Jets have decided they will not be moving forward with quarterback Aaron Rodgers and will instead usher in a new era in New York and a new starting quarterback. With the Jets holding the No. 7 overall pick, they might need to trade up if they want either Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders and we didn’t go in that direction this time around.
