Disorganized storms could become better organized in a tropical environment that is likely to support gradual development. A tropical depression may form by this weekend while moving slowly westward.

A broad area of low-pressure over the central Caribbean Sea is producing disorganized showers and storms. The NHC has tagged the area as Invest 99-L. A tropical depression is expected to form within a couple of days and move slowly westward through the western Caribbean into early next week.
