The American flag now flies over the U.S. embassy in Havana, Cuba for the first time in more than 50 years. In Philadelphia, the move has offered hope to those with loved ones in the country.

At 12:01 a.m. Monday, the U.S. and Cuba re-establish diplomatic relations. For the first time since 1961, they’ll reopen embassies in each other’s capitals.
