Hoda Kotb has been a co-anchor on Today with Savannah Guthrie since 2018, but the 2025 TV schedule will officially go on without her. Since Kotb announced her exit in September, the question high on the minds of viewers (and surely the network) has been regarding who would be her replacement.

The "Today" show didn't have to look far to find a replacement for Hoda Kotb, who is retiring early next year. The show announced on Thursday, Nov. 14, that Craig Melvin who has been with "Today" since 2018,

Craig Melvin, 45, will be taking over for “Today” anchor Hoda Kotb when she steps down. The move will give him a big salary bump, as Us Weekly reports that he’ll make about $5 million to $6 million in his new role.

Kotb's last day will be Jan. 10. She announced in September she was leaving the program after 17 years to spend more time with her children.

It was announced on Thursday morning that the anchor, 45, would be taking over from long-serving presenter Hoda Kotb , 60, after her last episode on January 10.
