Nvidia is kicking off CES with a big keynote next week, and everyone is pretty sure they know at least one thing that's going to be announced. When the PC hardware company takes the stage on Jan. 6, it's widely expected that Nvidia will lift the veil on the GeForce RTX 5000 series of graphics cards.

According to sources speaking with Wccftech, Nvidia is tipped to launch its first RTX 50-series GPU in January 2025, with the RTX 5080 graphics card being the first to ship. This GPU will offer 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which matches previous leaks suggesting the RTX 5080 will sport 16GB of video memory.

Rumor has it that Nvidia's RTX 5080 is expected to hit shelves on January 21 per Hong Kong media outlet HKEPC (h/t VideoCardz). The source has a history of accurate information; however, as always, we suggest you approach the leak with the appropriate skepticism.

Nvidia will announce RTX 5080 on January 6, and it may release on January 21. RTX 5080 is rumored to have 10,752 CUDA cores, 16GB GDDR7 VRAM, and more affordable than RTX 5090. January will also see AMD's RDNA 4 GPUs and Intel ARC B570 launch.
