Paraguay’s antidrug agency has decided to halt cooperation with the United States, a significant blow to U.S. efforts to curb organized crime in a country where cocaine trafficking has surged.

The United States does not currently have a permanent Ambassador to Paraguay. Instead, Amir Masliyah holds the position of Chargé D’Affaires. Fox News' Caitlin McFall contributed to this report.
