While this year’s Emoji 15.0 draft includes 31 candidates, last year’s draft had 112 belonging to Emoji 14.0. All that is dwarfed by 334 emoji submissions shared between Emoji 13.0 and Emoji 13.1.

The update also brings a batch of 31 new emoji. Among the new emoji are a shaking-head smiley; animals like a donkey, moose and goose; and additional heart colors, such as plain pink and light blue.

Apparently, you can never have enough emojis. One we needed a very long time ago, however – the pink heart emoji – is slated to be included along 30 others for 2022’s Emoji 15.0 edition.
