The city has so far reported one street closure on North Longview Avenue between North Mason and North Skidmore streets due to a fallen tree. Any additional road closures can be found at portland.gov/transportation/weather. Driving around a barricade or a street closure may result in a citation and fine, according to the city.

Even as plows worked to clear streets overnight, a fresh layer of snow continued to fall. Portland Bureau of Transportation plows were out through the night, and spokesperson Dylan Rivera says the work is nowhere near over.

A snowstorm hit mainly in the morning hours in Portland on Thursday, with freezing rain and more snow expected overnight. Temperatures dropped again in the evening Thursday, so any snow that melted was expected to quickly refreeze.
