Ron Fraedrick began Taco Time in 1960 as a small walk-up restaurant in Eugene, Oregon, which has since expanded into an international chain with over 300 locations in the Western U.S. and Canada.

Taco Time is also a 100% green powered company, joining a much longer list of King County businesses that match their electricity usage with renewable energy like wind and solar from local sources.

The shiny glass Taco Time outpost will close Monday after a half-century of operation. “Business has just not been the same after COVID,” the manager said.
