NHL couldn’t have scheduled a more daunting trip for Red Wings
DETROIT – Looks like the NHL schedule-maker played a trick on the Detroit Red Wings and sent them on a midseason trip to the four places where they’ve struggled the most in recent years. "You take it as a challenge," forward Patrick Kane said. "Under Todd, we've kind of built a little bit of a foundation where we're kind of knowing what to expect going forward and feeling confident about it as well, so just play every game, take it a game at a time and see what happens."
Petry Probably Won’t Make Red Wings’ Road Trip
When the Detroit Red Wings board the team plane for Florida today, injured defenseman Jeff Petry will presumably not be with them. “I would say ‘no’ right now,” Detroit coach Todd McLellan said Tuesday.
