A decorated fighter pilot and legend in U.S. aviation history, Harry Stewart Jr. was one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen before his death this past weekend.

Harry Stewart Jr. learned to fly even before he could drive and helped save the world from the evils of fascism.

Retired Lt. Col. Harry Stewart Jr, one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, has died. He was 100. Stewart was one of the last surviving combat pilots of the famed 332nd Fighter Group who were the nation's first military pilots.
