Landry's is converting the former seafood chain restaurant into an entrance building for a new water park, a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates.

Construction on the building's conversion to a water park entrance is expected to start July 1 and end March 31, the filing said. Joe's Crab Shack closed down in November.
