Wyoming judge Melissa Owens blocked the state's abortion bans for violating the state constitution and the "right to make own health care decisions."

A judge on Monday struck down Wyoming's overall ban on abortion and its first-in-the-nation explicit prohibition on the use of medication to end pregnancy.

The ruling found that two state laws — one barring use of abortion pills, and one banning all forms of abortion — violated the state Constitution’s “fundamental right to make health care decisions.”
