For the first time since he took over as Duke basketball’s head coach, Jon Scheyer will not be on the bench for a Blue Devils game on Saturday.

While the Mustangs held close through a half, SMU (11-3, 2-1) couldn’t quite overcome the talent on No. 4 Duke’s roster (12-2, 4-0). Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg led the Blue Devils to an 89-62 victory and handed the Mustangs their first conference loss of the ACC era.
