Multiple people have been accused of smuggling thousands of dollars worth of drugs into the Bristol County Jail in Dartmouth, according to Sheriff Paul Heroux.

B RISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Several Bristol officials were officially sworn into office as part of an inauguration ceremony on Monday. The officials inaugurated during the ceremony include Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, Treasurer John Lodovico, City Council members and Board of Education members.

Crews are working to repair two separate water main breaks in Bristol on Monday evening. The Bristol Water and Sewer Department said the breaks are reported on Park Street and Pine Brook Terrace. Officials said the Park Street break spans to Tulip Street.

There is a heavy police presence at a park in East Bristol this afternoon (Monday, November 10). The officers have been spotted at Oldbury Court Estate, in Fishponds. As well as several police vehicles, specialist officers operating drones have been seen.
