Pacer Hasan Mahmud became the first Bangladesh bowler to take a five-wicket haul in a Test match on Indian soil and rattled India's batting lineup in the first innings of the first Test in Chennai.

Hasan eclipsed the figures of four for 108 by pacer Abu Jahed Rahi, registered during a Test in Indore in 2019.

At his beloved home ground, Ashwin currently has 331 runs and counting in five Test matches. He averages 55.16, which is higher than what Dilip Vengsarkar, Rahul Dravid and Mohammed Azharuddin managed in their careers at the ground.
