The Israeli military has launched a wave of raids across the occupied West Bank, killing at least three Palestinians it said were militants.

Israeli forces killed at least three Palestinian militants in stepped-up operations across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday following the killing of three Israelis near a Jewish settlement, the Israeli military said.

At least two Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations in the West Bank, medics said on Tuesday. An 18-year-old was killed in a drone attack south of Tubas, the Red Crescent ambulance service reported.

The Israeli military said it killed three Palestinians militants in a wave of raids across the West Bank overnight.

A month into a crackdown by Palestinian security forces on militants in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, the streets of Jenin refugee camp are deserted, except for a few residents briefly checking on their homes.

Israel’s military said two 70-year-old women and a 35-year-old policeman were killed. Widespread operations have been launched in the area looking for the attackers.

Palestinian Authority forces are clashing with armed groups in the occupied West Bank in a rare crackdown aimed at restoring order in a militant stronghold.

The Palestinian Authority has suspended Al Jazeera from broadcasting and operating in the occupied West Bank. It accused the network of broadcasting “inciting materials” and “misleading reports” that “provoke strife and interfere in Palestinian internal affairs,” Wafa, the official Palestinian news agency, said Wednesday.
