Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to conduct a survey and identify suitable sites for constructing ropeways or cableways across the Yamuna River. The DDA has been tasked with submitting a preliminary report within a month, according to a statement from Raj Niwas.

Delhi Development Authority is planning to operate cable cars across the Yamuna. The cable cars will run from morning to night with a capacity of 50 passengers each. Sites near metro stations on either side of the river will be selected for installation.
