Miami Heat power forward Kevin Love showed some love of his own to his father and Oregon Ducks basketball legend, Stan Love before facing the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.

The Miami Heat head to Moda Center to face the Portland Trail Blazers in a non-conference matchup. The Heat are 18-17, which puts them in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. The Trail Blazers are 13-23, which puts them in 13th place in the Western Conference.

A 47-year-old man was fatally shot at an Oregon grocery store after he apparently saw a robbery and tried to stop the suspect, police said. Jonathan Trent of Portland was taken to a hospital after the Jan. 13 shooting at a Fred Meyer store and later was pronounced dead, according to police and news reports.

Tyler Herro had 32 points, including seven 3-pointers, and the Miami Heat downed the Portland Trail Blazers 119-98 on Saturday night.

The man “experienced trauma, pain, suffering, embarrassment, and the loss of enjoyment of life” as a result, the lawsuit said.
