The Bills have suffered a huge blow to their secondary ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs. Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday that starting safety Taylor Rapp will miss Sunday’s game due to a hip injury.

The Buffalo Bills will be without key player Rapp as they look to reach their first Super Bowl in more than 30 years.

Ahead of facing Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, being down two starting defensive backs is not ideal for Buffalo. The Bills intercepted Mahomes twice in their 30-21 win over Kansas City during the regular season. One of those two came via Rapp on Mahomes’ first pass attempt.

Without Taylor Rapp, the Bills will have to limit the Chiefs' eccentric offense without their full defensive arsenal for the second consecutive season. In addition to Rapp's injury, Buffalo faced Kansas City without star linebackers Matt Milano and Baylon Spector in 2024.
