Boeing handed over 14 airplanes in October and said it will be several weeks before production can fully resume.

Boeing says it will be several weeks before it fully resumes building passenger planes, as factory workers return following a strike that lasted nearly two months.

Boeing is grappling with the aftermath of a 53-day machinist strike that disrupted production across its key aircraft programs, with over 32,000 union workers now set to return to factories by November 12.

The Dallas-based airline shared its third quarter 2024 results last week. According to Aviation Week Network, Southwest’s CEO, Bob Jordan, told investors that the carrier had only planned for a strike of roughly five weeks. The executive further explained that “if the strike goes much longer, there will be an impact.”

Boeing said on Tuesday it delivered 14 commercial jets in October, less than half of the 34 jets it handed over to customers during the same month in 2023, after a weeks-long strike halted most of its aircraft production.
