The New York Times Tech Guild is striking for a contract—which they’ve been negotiating for more than two years. New York Times tech workers are still on strike after walking out one day before the presidential election.

As part of its ongoing strike against management, the New York Times Tech Guild has built strike-friendly versions of Wordle and other word game classics to keep you occupied until a fair contract is achieved.

Times Tech Guild workers walked off the job on Monday and intend to picket from 9 a.m. EST to 6 p.m. EST each day at the Times office. The strike, which continued into Tuesday, is the “first to coincide with a presidential election in the NewsGuild since the 1964 Detroit Newspaper Strike,” per the Times Tech Guild.

The New York Times Tech Guild asked the publication's readers not to play its games, including Wordle and Connections, in solidarity when it announced that it was going on strike on November 4. Now, the guild has released its own versions of the The Times' games so that readers can still play without crossing its digital picket line.
