Coveted head coach Stephanie White is reportedly in talks with both the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky to join one of them next season. Here’s what she’s said about their rising stars, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

The Indiana Fever hired Stephanie White as coach on Friday, putting her in charge of a team led by WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.

The long WNBA offseason has officially begun, and there will be more activity than usual this winter. Not only because of the upcoming expansion draft to fill out the Golden State Valkyries roster, but also due to the unusual number of coaching changes.

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever announced on Friday the team has named Stephanie White as Head Coach. White, a West Lebanon, Indiana native and Purdue alumna, returns to the franchise where she spent six seasons (as head coach in 2015-16, and as an assistant coach from 2011-14) on the sidelines.

The coaching carousel started five days after the WNBA regular season ended, when the Los Angeles Sparks parted ways with coach Curt Miller on Sept. 24. Five more coaches were fired over the next 33 days. On Monday, the Connecticut Sun announced they were parting ways with White -- leaving seven head-coaching positions open.

Per multiple sources, Indiana is expected to lure current Connecticut Sun head coach Stephanie White away to be the next Fever head coach.
