Radu Dragusin was forced off with a knock during the Boxing Day defeat to Nottingham Forest. Ben Davies, who has only played a handful of times this season, has suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

And the Tottenham boss has suggested that Dragusin will need assessing after coming down with an ankle problem. "He was a bit sore," explained the Aussie in his post-match press conference. "He hurt his ankle and said he couldn’t continue so we'll just have to wait and see."

A winter injury crisis for the second season running has stretched Tottenham's squad to the limit and left head coach Ange Postecoglou calling for “reinforcements” in January if Spurs are to climb from mid-table to a position more benefitting of their stature and continue to compete in the cups.
