CMLL hosted a special edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular celebrating the promotion's 91st Anniversary. As part of the celebrations, Willow Nightingale made her first CMLL Women's World Title defense against Puerto Rico's own Zeuxis.

At CMLL's 91st Anniversary show on September 13th, Titán faced Máscara Dorada in the finals of the 2024 Copa Independencia. Dorada previously won Phase One to punch his ticket to the finals, while Titán advanced by beating Averno, Zandokan Jr., Hijo de Villano III, Crixus, Dark Panther, Star Jr., and Dulce Gardenia.
