TORONTO -- The San Jose Sharks rallied with two goals in the third period and ended an eight-game losing streak with a 3-2 shootout win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Monday.

The Sharks erased a two-goal deficit in the third period, killed off a penalty in overtime, and saw Tyler Toffoli and Fabian Zetterlund both score goals in the shootout to earn a dramatic 3-2 win over the Leafs at Scotiabank Arena.

“It’s pretty tough (to stay positive),” said Sharks defenseman Jake Walman of the team’s losing streak, which was extended Saturday night with a 5-3 defeat in Ottawa. “It eats you a little bit from the inside.”
