The Indian cricket team recently held an intra-squad match simulation at the WACA in Perth in preparation for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. Several top-order batters, including Virat Kohli, were caught behind on bouncy Perth surfaces.

Rahul was hit on his right forearm/elbow off a bumpy short delivery during India's match simulatin session in Perth. Though he tried to resume his batting after some help from the physio, Rahul decided to walk off the field.
