All are equally hard to make GOOD art. If you're willing to dedicate the time to learn and develop the skill, you should pick whichever one appeals to you most.

I'm gonna second this. The furniture looking like 3d models makes the character looking like a 2d sprite stand out in a weird way. I do loke the 3d look though. I think ifnyou want to stick with the 3d, you're going to want to redo your main character sprites. Probably from making a 3d of the character and rendering or rotoscoping spites for it.

Aug 5, 2022 · Dead Cells - game might look like 2D pixel art but it's actually using 3D pipeline. Lets it look super smooth and probably saves a lot of time. Bastion and Hades both have a fun colorful style that I really like. Tales of/Genshin Impact/Zelda BOTW all 3 have cel shaded heavily stylized approaches to their games.
