Everything was great until recently when I noticed things becoming hazy . I contacted the surgery who advised I need yag laser on both eyes . I’m due to have this done later this month . Oct 19, 2021 · There are top surgeons who told me about it and some of them even stay away because I'm rather young with high visual demands related to my work and 20/20 if corrected with glasses. 5-6 weeks after the surgery the capsular bag has shrinked completely. The artifical lens is much smaller than the natural lens therefore the bag shrinks.
Blurred vision and shadows after lens replacement
Apr 25, 2016 · i had lens replacement surgery a week ago. Before surgery my distance vision was very good but I couldn't read a thing without glasses. Since surgery I can read the smallest of print but can't see further than a couple of metres before everything goes out of focus. I also have a shadow at the corner of both eyes so feel like I'm wearing blinkers.

Currently I'm experiencing the peripheral flickering/dazzling light sensation you described. Although I find it irritating, my wife reminds me the same thing occurred when I had this surgery on my left eye 11 months ago.
Ongoing problems 2 years after lens replacement surgery
Hi.. i had lens replacement surgery 2 years ago in Thailand and am still experiencing some major problems. I am originally from the UK but have lived in Thailand for the past 29 years. I am now 49 years old and had the surgery May 2017. My eye sight was always quite good but started to get worse as i turned 40 years of age.

Dec 28, 2023 · The ZCB00 in the left eye is the same Tecnis 1 but is the model number without the injector. Both are the same model lens. The power would suggest you were likely a bit far sighted before surgery. This is the basic J&J monofocal lens and there would be no reason to blame the lens for the issue..

Jul 4, 2021 · I felt quite prepared for the surgery and the vision during the initial adjustment period. the surgery was done on June 9. The surgery was successful and without any complications. It was quite strange experience but I felt no pain or discomfort. Initially everything was very blurry with a reddish curtain covering my vision.

Oct 9, 2016 · If you are having problems with the lens and find it difficult to drive at night, you might consider a lens replacement. As you say, it does carry risks (as with any surgery) but also has the potential to resolve the problems you are experiencing. A monofocal lens is the time-tested workhorse of cataract surgery.

I have a Vivity lens implanted almost 2 months ago. I have been told that I had a "perfect" result. My distance vision is 20/20. I can read the computer (most important to me) without glasses but it is a slight strain (I have light adjustable lens in left eye that is currently being adjusted to help with the intermediate vision.
