Mar 28, 2022 · As the title says I just wanna know what you think because as a PS5 owner I would absolutely hate to buy a limited edition ps5 for Spider-Man 2 or any other AAA game and the only difference between a normal one is some face plates with some decals.

Should I wait until next year (2024) in anticipation of the potential Anniversary Edition PS5? I'd rather get a model that is more likely to keep its value. The lack of limited edition consoles hurt as well. I wanted Sony to make a custom Venom themed PS5 to celebrate Spider-Man 2's release. I would've bought a second PS5 immediately.

This is not intended to add any re-releases such as 'Limited Edition' or 'Game of the Year' versions of mainstream games but only relatively more difficult titles to obtain. Besides, PS5 limited editions (like the FF or new Spider-Man ones) are, as far as I know, only regular PS5 with special removable faceplates. Meaning you may find the faceplates on a pre-owned goods website and stick them on your console.

The GOW one is the only special edition or separate color controller I’ve ever bought for my PS5. The Hogwarts one would have been much better had it been midnight blue with the gold etching rather than just black.
