The Capitol Complex, located in downtown Tallahassee, provides a dignified and serviceable headquarters for state government. The Capitol, the twenty-two story building, is home to Florida's Executive and Legislative branches.
Visiting the Capitol - Florida
Visiting the Capitol. The Capitol is located in downtown Tallahassee at the intersection of Apalachee Parkway and Monroe Street. The Capitol is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is closed on weekends and holidays.
Touring the Capitol - Florida
Self-Guided Tours. Visitors may self-tour the Capitol on their own Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., excluding any weekday holidays. A brochure is available from the Welcome Center and includes information about Capitol tours and history.

The Historic Capitol now serves as the Florida Historic Capitol Museum. Its restored space includes the Governor's Suite, Supreme Court, House of Representatives and Senate chambers, rotunda and halls. Its adapted space contains a museum exhibiting the state's political history.

The café is open to the general public Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 850-329-2954 for more information. There are vending machines strategically situated throughout the Capitol. In addition, there are many restaurants conveniently located in the downtown area.
