Tidal Wave has no where near as much community significance or longevity as SC. Also if we're comparing a 1.8/1.9 level to a 2.1 level then i'd say silent clubstep looks way better. Unless SC got a 2.1 deco update idk about. (this isn't to say i don't want Tidal Wave rated, btw)

Seeing how the level slowly goes from deep underwater to above sea level and onto the beach is pretty alright and well communicated with the player. Theming. The theming in Tidal Wave is also unique as a beach theme is something I don’t believe we really see in extreme demons ever.

Sep 29, 2023 · It will prolly be better than tidal wave, now that oni link has experience with tidalwave. Plus TidalWave is already really good for a Solo level and just in general. It is also really fun.

And it's not like I'm gonna watch tidal wave, acheron, etc 5 times a day on YouTube for the decoration and gameplay to matter that much. Tidal wave just feels like a good english essay being graded by a very strict grader. Maybe zoink didn't redeem himself from verifying/hacking avernus, but it's been a while since seeing him scream like npesta.

The only example I can think of when it comes to making precise gameplay fun is Heliopolis slowly becoming more and more polished throughout the level, and telling a story as a result, and thereby rewarding the player and making it worth playing. Tidal wave doesn’t tell a story and really only rewards the player with more annoying gameplay.
