On this day 54 years ago, The Beatles were photographed walking across Abbey Road before going into the studio to continue work on ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)' and ‘The End’. Photographer Iain Macmillan set up on a step ladder in the middle of the road and snapped six shots while a policeman held up traffic.
